Police book former Tehsildar, ors in cheating case

Jammu, July-04 (JNF):- On the direction of Chief Judicial Magistrate
Jammu, the police registered a case against Baba Ram Milan Dass of
Shri Ram Janki Prachin Mandir Udhewalal, Arun Kumar s/o Dawarka Nath
of Rehari Colony Jammu, Mr. Babu Ram Manni then Patwari Halqa Muthi
and Shanti Sawroop Gupta then Tehsildar Agrarian Reform Jammu u/s 420,
415, 417, 418 RPC.

In a complaint filed by one Bodh Raj in the CJM Jammu in
which he submitted that the above said accused persons managed to
forged the record, the revenue officials specifically then Patwari and
then Tehsildar under legal duty to give details regarding the
possession of plot in favour of Gopal Arya Mission and not to issue
fact in favour of accused Baba Ram Milan Dass of Shri Ram Janki
Prachin Mandir Udhewalal. The said accused through his attorney Arun
Kumar Gupta to execute the sale deed, the sale deed was registered on
3rd of August, 2007 before Sub-Registrar Jammu causing wrongful loss
to complainant who paid his hard earned money to them.

According to the complainant is having friendly relations
with accused Arun Kumar for the last so many years whom he disclosed
his requirement of residential plot unaware of the fact that accused
Arun Kumar in the habit of cheating people and also involved in land
mafia. In the year 2007 accused Arun Kumar with accused Baba Ram Milan
Dass, Mr. Babu Ram Manni then Patwari Halqa Muthi and Shanti Sawroop
Gupta then Tehsildar Agrarian Reform Jammu to sell a plot measuring 1
Kanal 8 Marla situated at Udheywala to the complainant for which they
are not legally entitled to any right whatsoever the transfer right
as the same plot was already transferred by way of lease to trust
namely Gopal Arya Mission and the property of the Gopal Arya Mission
is attached by the order of High Court. In the complainant the
complainant submitted that when he came to know he was cheated by the
accused, he approached the police for lodging FIR, they too refused to
take action against them and then he approached the Court. On the
direction a case was registered against the above said persons. JNF/JULY/04/2011/1
