JAMMU, July 4: Begana XI beat Semna Colony in the ongoing Faridiya Cricket Cup which was held at the famous Chowgan ground Kishtwar.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Semna Colony set a target of 116 for Begana XI.
It never looked a difficult task to chase down the total imposed by Semnas as Begana XI achieved the target in fifteenth over of their innings there by winning the match comprehensively by 8 wickets.
Sunny was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant performance with bat and ball. He scored 42 runs and took 3 wickets for his side.
In another match of the tournament, Youth Bunstan (YB) trounced Friends Shiekhapura (FS) to enter the next round. Bating first Youth Bunstan set a target of 186 for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted twenty overs. While chasing FS never look comfortable at any stage of the game and fell 89 runs short of the target. Manzoor was the pick of the bowlers for YB with 3 wickets in his four over spell.
Sawan of YB was declared Man of the Match for his blistering knock of 52 runs.
