| SPO flees with weapons in Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, July 4: One of the four special police officers (SPOs), who were allegedly beaten by DSP (operations, Rajouri) few days back, today deserted police. SPO Manzoor Hussain fled the area along with his official weapon, police sources said.
He was allegedly beaten by the DSP for passing on wrong information about the movement of militants in the area.
Sources said he was terminated from service and a manhunt had been launched in his search. When contacted DSP, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmad claimed no such incident had taken place under his jurisdiction. |
