Jammu,July 5 :-The National Conference led coalition Government has started initiating measures for reducing trust deficit between Kashmiri displaced Pandits and the ruling coalition.
Apart from creating conditions conducive for the return of the displaced families to the valley the state Government is being assisted by the central Government in increasing job avenues for the displaced youths in Kashmir.
After a couple of decades the ruling coalition has decided to nominate a brilliant financial and banking expert,Dalip Kumar Kaul,as a director on the Board of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd.He is among two other people who are to be nominated for the post of Directors on the Board of the Bank.
Number of prominent Kashmiri Pandits have appreciated the National Conference-Congress coalition Government for deciding to include one highly qualified displaced youth on the Board of Directors of the Bank.Kaul is a bona fide state subject of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that Dalip Kaul as a reputed chartered Accountant besides being a law graduate and MBA could help the bank in adopting certain new strategies for the benefit of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that before M.Y.Khan took Jammu and Kashmir Bank to new heights a Kashmiri Pandit,J.N.Kaul,had laid the foundation for the Bank's country-wide growth and expansion.
These prominent Pandits said that if Dalip Kaul was taken on the Board of Directors of the Bank it would further establish the credentials of the National Conference and the Congress for removing trust deficit between the displaced community and the Government.
Number of Pandit leaders said that since Kaul has been in auditing under various statutes, taxation, accounting and financial reporting besides law consultation since 1984 the Jammu and Kashmir Bank could utilise his expertise in ensuring further growth of the Bank not only within Jammu and Kashmir but in India and even abroad.
