Happy scripts Badrore’s win to enter QFs | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT AKHNOOR, July 05: Superb innings of 66 runs from Happy helped Badrore Cricket Club (BCC) reached the quarterfinals of the 3rd Pawan Memorial (Twenty20) Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here today. In today’s last pre-quarterfinal, Badrore trounced Patel Cricket Club (PCC) by three wickets. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Patel Club set 158 runs target losing all their wickets in 19.4 overs, which, in reply, Badrore Club overhauled in 19.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Ashok was top scorer with 25-ball 40 runs while Gulzar and Balbir contributed 24 and 22 runs respectively. From Badrore Club, Bishu claimed three wickets while Girdari and Kaka took one each. Later, Badrore chased the target making 161 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 19.3 overs. Happy played match winning innings of 38-ball 66 runs, followed by Amit, who contributed 29. Karan also batted well making 19-ball 29 runs. Ashok clinched two wickets from Patel Club while Anu, Sunny and Madan shared apiece each. For his match winning innings of 66 runs, Happy was declared man of the mach.
