| Residents of Malikote stage protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Reasi, July 5: Residents of Malikote village in remote Chassana area of tehsil Mahore Reasi staged massive demonstration in against not providing electricity and water supply to this area having population of more than 5000 souls.
Nearly 350 to 450 families of this remote belt are totally sans water supply. Even after 65years of independence these hapless and neglected village are waiting for electricity. The area falls in the constituency of minister for higher education Abdul Ghani Malik. Malikote which demonstration against Omer Abdullah government, local MLA, DC Reasi and SDM Mahore. They accused the local MLA of not visiting the area malikote after winning elections. They said he only came before elections seeking vote and support but after winning he forgot the plight of the people and never bothered to pay even a single visit. He said even DC SDM SSP have never visited this remote village. These villagers warned to administration to resolve the problem of area malikote. They demanded for power supply and road connectivity within a week.
