| ADDC reverse decision of RO | | Panchayat Elections | | Early times report
Jammu, July 5: A protest ralley was held by the people of “Mughal maidan” area of tehsil Chatroo, district Kishtwar against the decision reversed by the District Adminstration against the election of Sarpanch for halqa Durbeel- Kawath of Inderwal Block elected about a month back.
As per release Puran Chand was elected as Sarpanch on May 21, 2011 by the returning officer, but yesterday another person namely Payare Lal Sharma was declared as winner by changing the decision of the RO. While knowing this decision supporters of Puran Chand took out ralley against the district authority and as a protest burn the effigy of Ex. R&B Minister and ADDC Kishtwar. Slogans were also made against them by the supporters.
