| There is political touch in everything in J&K | | |

Four days after Punjab and Haryana High Court granted bail to nine accused in the Srinagar sex scandal case former Congress Minister and senior legislator Ghulam Ahmed Mir was today accorded simple but warm reception by Congress workers at the gateway of Jammu in Lakhanpur.
Soon after arriving here Mir in his first encounter with the media persons said that he is feeling nice after coming out of jail after a long gap of five months.
When asked to comment whether he was put behind bars as part of political conspiracy and to defame him, he declined to comment directly on the issue as the matter is still sub-judice.
In a oblique reference, he however, stated that in Jammu and Kashmir political touch is added to every thing.
He said, since he was not aware of political developments in the state during the last five months he is not in a position to comment.
"I can only comment after I take feedback from my people after meeting them", he added.
When asked to comment on his days behind the bars he said, they were a great learning experience adding that he had little space under his feet and above his head.
" While i was inside the jail i always kept my morale high in difficult times. He said anyone who is not morally corrupt can face any hardship as he has no worries on mind. When asked to share his experiences and his future plans, he said my spirits are still high and I would continue to work for my voters and supporters with great zeal.
It may be mentioned that on November 22 nine accused were granted bail by Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The next date of hearing in the case, in the Chandigarh District and Sessions Court is December five.
