Adarsh Club enters semis of Pawan Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT AKHNOOR, July 06: Adarsh Cricket Club today became the first team to reach the semi-finals stages beating Singh-B Club by six wickets in the quarterfinals of the ongoing 3rd Pawan Memorial (Twenty20) Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School grounds, here. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Singh-B bowled out for 100 runs in 19.2 overs. Vipin was top scorer with 19-ball 30 runs while Sahil Pawar and Kulbir Singh contributed 14 and 10 runs respectively. From Adarsh Club, Sourav and Ashok Kumar clinched three wickets each while Sunny, Roshy and Vivek shared apiece each. Later, chasing the target, Adarsh Club attained the goal making 102 runs in just 11 overs for the loss of four wickets. Ashok remained top scorer with 26-ball 38 runs, followed by Sunny, who contributed nine-ball 21. Narayan added valuable 15 runs to the total. From Singh-B, Vikas and Rajender took one wicket each. For his all-round performance of three wickets and 38 runs, Ashok was adjudged man of the match.
