3,267 pilgrims leave for Amarnath darshan

Jammu, July 6:
A fresh batch of over three thousand pilgrims today left for the Amarnath cave shrine from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp here, official sources said.
A fresh batch comprising 3,267 pilgrims left for the Valley to pay obeisance at the holy abode of Lord Shiva.
"A total of 3,267 pilgrims including 2,177 male, 791 female, 90 children and 209 sadhus -- left for Baltal and Pahalgam base camps in Kashmir in a convoy of 104 vehicles, including 36 state road buses, 35 private and 32 light motor vehicles. The first vehicle left the base camp at around 4: 45 in the morning sources added.
