| Gool villages without power for two months | | |

Village Indh of Gool and its adjoining habitations are without power for the last two months and to add salt to the wound concerned official in Power Development Department have not even bothered to visit the area.
Sources informed that people approached several times to PDD authorities for restoration power supply but even after lapse of two months they did not turned up. “It seems that PDD has no concern with people living in far flung areas”, said Abdul Rasheed, a resident of the area adding that why is then government making tall claims of providing all basic facilities to people living in rural areas.
“We approached PDD several times but they never turned up as if they don’t consider us human beings”, said Puran Singh another resident of the area. “We and our children lead a tough life in these hilly terrains, but our politicians are enjoying every luxury why should they care about us” laments Rahim, a labourer adding that his son who has to appear in Matric examination cannot study because there is no power for the last two months in their village. |
