| Saroori chairs EC meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, July 6: The Estimates Committee (EC) of Legislative Assembly on Wednesday called for utilization of sports funds at district and tehsil levels so that the students of far-off areas could be benefited.
The Committee, which met here under the Chairmanship of G M Saroori discussed in detail about working of public departments. The Committee stressed on increasing remuneration of SPOs. The Committee asked the police authorities to auction the damaged vehicles of the department and repair of legislators vehicles on priority.
Legislators, Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan, Ashok Khajuria, Indu Powar and Subash Chander Gupta gave their valuable suggestion for improving traffic management system.
Among others, Principal Secretary Home B R Sharma, Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda, Director General Accounts and Treasuries Wali Mohammad Bhat and other concerned senior officers of Police, Traffic and Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
