| Somnath along with his supporters joins PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 6: Prominent social and political activist Som Nath along with hundreds of his supporters today joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presence of party patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Som Nath is kin of former Haryana Governor Babu Paramanand and is active in politics and social activities for the last two decades.
Welcoming Som Nath in the party, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed hoped that with his joining PDP would be further strengthened in rural areas of Jammu.
He said that joining of large number of people in the party is a clear indication that PDP has been emerged as premier political forces in the State.
Som Nath, while speaking on the occasion, expressed faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti. He said that PDP is the only party which has programme and policies for each and every section of the society.
Meanwhile, in another function over 100 persons joined PDP through veteran leader and former Minister Rangil Singh.
Prominent among those who joined PDP included Harbhajan Singh Rana (Simble Camp), Parmeet Singh (Simble Camp) and Joginder Singh (Simble Camp).
