| Zaffar Me'raj bereaved | | | EARLY TIMES REPPORT
Srinagar, July 6 (KNS): Suriya Parimoo mother of Valley's veteran journalist and Chief Editor of Kashmir Monitor, Zaffar Me'raj passed away on Wednesday morning after a brief illness. She was 76 and is survived by a son and a daughter.
People from all walks of life all day thronged residence of Zaffar Me'raj to pay condolences with the bereaved family. Prominent among those who visited included Agriculture Minister, G H Mir, Peoples Democratic Party Chief Spokesperson, Nayeem Akhtar, JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Hurriyat (M) leaders, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, Zaffar Akbar Bhat and others.
According to family sources mourning will be only for three days and there will be no chahrum.
Early Times management and staff have offered condolences with the bereaved family and prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in heavenly abode. |
