| Ex-army jawan held for commiting thefts in hotels | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 6 : An ex-army jawan was today arrested by police from Rajouri for commiting thefts in the hotels here.
He was identified as Mohammad Ashraf alias Sheti of ward No 2, DC Colony, Rajouri. He retired from army in 2008.
He was alleged to have stolen Rs 95,000 from a hotel on Residency and Rs 37,000 from another hotel at Peer Mitha. Police sources said the amount of Rs 95,000 belonged to Mohammad Asgar of Surankote. He was arrested by police from his residence in Rajouri on a tip-off, the sources added. |
