Work in synergy to benefit farmers: Rachpal Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, July 7: Stating that the Kissan Advisory Board serves as a bridge between farmers and government, Vice Chairman Kisan Advisory Board Rachpal Singh today called upon the members and heads of Agriculture and its allied departments to work in synergy for the benefit of farmer community. He said this while addressing Ist Divisional Level Advisory Board meeting of Kashmir Province here this morning, “It is our obligation to highlight the problems of the kissans and work for their solution systematically”, he said. During the meeting members of various districts highlighted several issues regarding agriculture, sericulture, horticulture, floriculture, apiculture, fisheries and other allied sectors of the department and sought their solution. The meeting decided that every allied department of the agriculture would organize awareness camps in various areas of the valley to aware the farmers about various schemes and programmes launched by the government for their benefit.The meeting also decided that the members of the Advisory Board will project the demands of their respective areas with the concerned officers of the department so that necessary action is initiated instantly. Members of the Kissan Advisory Board of valley districts, Director Horticulture, Director Floriculture, and Joint Director Agriculture, Additional Director Sericulture members, Secretary Kissan Advisory Board and other senior officers were present in the meeting. |
