Vimarsh helps Royal Bijyanta enter semis | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT AKHNOOR, July 7: Superb innings of 85 (off 44 balls) by first class cricketer, Vimarsh Kaw today guided Royal Bijyanta Cricket Club (RBCC) to semi-finals of the 3rd Pawan Memorial Cricket Tournament underway at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here. In the second quarterfinal of the tournament, RBCC trounced Singh XI Jammu by a big margin of 86 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, RBCC set a target of 221 runs for the loss of five wickets. Vimarsh Kaw was top scorer with 85 runs while Munish Dogra contributed 44-ball 51 runs. Ram Dayal and Manik contributed 28 and 35 runs respectively. From Singh XI Jammu, Jatinder, Vishwajeet, Shubam Khajuria and Pavit took one wicket each. In reply, Singh XI Jammu could make only 134 runs losing eight wickets. Michal and Vishwajeet were main contributors with 35 and 29 runs in their respective accounts while Shubam Khajuria added 13-ball 18 runs. Ashu and Goura clinched two wickets each from RBCC while Manik, Somaya and Titu shared apiece each. For his brilliant knock of 85 runs, Vimarsh Kaw was adjudged man of the match. NEXT MATCH: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor shall take on Krishan Cricket Club tomorrow at 2 pm.
