| Jantar Mantar Declaration on Telangana State | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
New Delhi, 7th July, 2011 :- Acharya Konda Laxman Bapuji, former Andhra Pradesh Minister and an eminent freedom fighter at the age of 97 joined Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party who is sitting one-day fast at Jantar Mantar in support for statehood for Telangana.
Hundreds of volunteers of NPP from Delhi, UP., Rajasthan, Haryana joined Singh in support of his fast.
In an unusual resolution under the president ship of Acharya Bapuji declared full support to Telangana Legislators who had resigned their membership in support of TelanganaState.
The resolution called on Prime Minister of India to honour the resignation of the MPs and MLAs of Telangana by accepting their demands for Telangana State which shall demonstrate courage and wisdom of the leadership.
The resolution also expressed support to the people of Telangana for their declaration to gherao Parliament on August 2, 2011 if Telangana Stateis not announced by that day.
The Panthers Party also welcomed freedom fighter Bapuji at 97 to sit on fast at Jantar Mantar on August 1 the opening day of the session of Parliament.
Prof. Bhim Singh in his letter to the President of India, Prime Minister of India, Union Finance Minister and Union Home Minister strongly advocated for Telangana State without any delay.
