7/7/2011 10:42:03 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 07: Three persons, including a government ration dealer, a shopkeeper

and an autoricksha driver, were today arrested by police from different Satwari areas

here in connection with the black-marketing of PDS ration.
They were identified as ration dealer Kamal Lal of Chatha Farm, shopkeeper Narayan

Dass and autoricksha driver Joginder Pal, both residents of Khandwal.
Acting on a tip-off that Kamal, who runs a ration depot at Chatha Pind, had sold

government PDS ration to Narayan, police raided the latter's house at Khandwal and

recovered five sugar bags, 12 rice bags and three flour bags from there.
The ration was seized and Narayan arrested, police sources said.
As the consignment had been transported by Joginder in his autoricksha, police held

him too. Kamal was also arrested later, the sources added.
Police had registered cases against them under different sections of law.
