Dealer among 2 held for selling PDS ration in black | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 07: Three persons, including a government ration dealer, a shopkeeper
and an autoricksha driver, were today arrested by police from different Satwari areas
here in connection with the black-marketing of PDS ration. They were identified as ration dealer Kamal Lal of Chatha Farm, shopkeeper Narayan
Dass and autoricksha driver Joginder Pal, both residents of Khandwal. Acting on a tip-off that Kamal, who runs a ration depot at Chatha Pind, had sold
government PDS ration to Narayan, police raided the latter's house at Khandwal and
recovered five sugar bags, 12 rice bags and three flour bags from there. The ration was seized and Narayan arrested, police sources said. As the consignment had been transported by Joginder in his autoricksha, police held
him too. Kamal was also arrested later, the sources added. Police had registered cases against them under different sections of law.
