Court extends 10 day judicial of Wazir Brothers

Jammu, July-07 (JNF):- Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu SS Bali today extended ten days judicial remand of Tarlochan Singh Wazir Ex-MLC NC and Ajab Singh allegedly involved in much publicized murder chopra Family.

Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu SS Bali after considering the application filed by SHO P/S Bahu-Fort Jammu SS Jasrotia and Incharge Special Investigating Team Anand Jain SSP Jammu seeking 15 days judicial remand of accused persons on the grounds that investigation of the case is in progress.

Court has perused the application as well as Case Dairy file and after perusal of CD File reveals that the accused persons have been arrested on June 9, 2011 in FIR NO 107/2006 for the offences u/s 302/396/120-B/109/201 RPC. Court further said that keeping in view that nature of the allegations and stage of investigation, Court find no good ground to reject the application and granted ten days judicial remand of Tarlochan Singh Wazir Ex-MLC NC and Ajab Singh.

Court further said that Incharge SIT has also prayed that keeping in view of the natue of the allegations and stage of investigation accused persons be kept separately in the jail. Adv Jamrosh Singh for the accused persons has submitted that accused persons are real brothers, therefore, order passed by this Court dated June 23, 2011 be not extended particularly when they are being denied to meet their lawyers jointly in District Jail. Court after perusal of CD file reveals that on June 23, 2011 Duty Magistrate directed Incharge Supt District Jail Jammu to keep the accused persons in separate rooms, therefore, keeping in view the rival submissions and careful perusal of the CD File, Court found no good ground to reject the prayer made by the SSP Jammu. Accordingly Incharge District Jail Jammu is directed to keep both the accused persons in separate rooms. Court also directed Incharge District jail Jammu to allow the lawyers of the accused persons to meet them during officer hours.

In the meanwhile an application filed by Tirlochan Singh Wazir seeking permission to execute a General Power of Attorney in favour of his namely Karan Singh Wazir as his business is suffering. After hearing counsel Special Municipal Magistrate Mr. SS Bali directed Mr. SS Jasrotia SHO P/S Trikuta Nagar Jammu Member SIT to produce the accused before the concerned Sub-Registrar Jammu today for executing General Power of Attorney and its registration.
