EARLY TIMESR REPORT
RAJOURI, July 7:
In order to curb the menace of illegal distillation and sale of illicit liquor sleuth of Excise Range, Rajouri led by Excise Inspector Dr Sajad Majid under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer, Rajouri/Poonch range conducted series of raids at villages Androlla, Agrati, Muradpur, Panjpeer, Narian, Sangpur, Sawni Grati, Chingus and Thandi Kassi areas Rajouri district.During the courses of raids five persons were arrested and booked under Excise Act. The arrested persons were identified as Mohan Singh S/O Jagat Singh R/O Narian, Dev Raj S/O Pritam Das, R/O Narian, Deepak S/O. Mangat Ram, R/O Chingus, Kewal Krishan, S/O Jagat Ram, R/O Grati, Kewal Kumari W/O. Prithvi Raj, R/O Sawai Grati.During the course of raid 1250 kg of Lahan, 213 ltrs of illicit liquor and four working stills were destroyed on the spot.
