Birth centenary of ‘Guru Ji’ celebrated

The birth centenary of second Sar Sanghchalak of Rasthtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS), Prof. Madhav Rao Sada Shiv Rao (Guru Ji) was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal at here this morning in a ‘Virat Hindu Sammelan’. The program was organized by Guru Ji Janam Shatabadi Samaroh Samiti, Sunder Bani. Various revered saints of Hindu Samaj and leaders of Hindu organizations graced the occasion with their presence.
In this program, Maha Mandleshwar Swami Narsingh Das Ji Maharaj from Ayodhya and Maha Mandeleshwar Rameshwar Dev Ji Maharaj from Jammu gave religious discourses and put light on the life and works of Guru Ji amongst the huge gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, All India Bajrang Dal President, Prakash Sharma said that Hindu Samaj should not divide itself along the caste and creed lines. “We have to eliminate social discrimination on the basis of caste to strengthen our religion” Sharma said. He also added that entire India is along with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of militancy. Expressing serious concerns over the westernization, he exhorted upon the people to respect their own cultural heritage as the generation, who forget their past can not make their future.
RSS District Organizer Dr. Anil Kumar while addressing the gathering appealed the people to follow the ideology of Guru ji and at the same time advised to remain vigilant against the nefarious designs of anti national elements. Mean while, Chairman Municipal Committee, Inder Pal Gupta expressed his deep gratitude towards the visiting dignitaries and highlighted the contributions of RSS towards the inculcation of moral and cultural values amongst the people of society.
Among other prominent personalities who were present on the occasion include, BJP local leader Bishbinder Dev, Rakesh Gupta, Susheel Sudan, Arun Sharma etc.
On this occasion prizes were also distributed amongst the winners in Block level Quiz and Essay writing competition which was organized by the RSS some days back in which around 32 schools had participated.
Mangat Ram, a student of Middle School Kali Dey bagged first prize in Quiz competition while Rahul Puri of Harsh Niketan Higher Secondary School and Rahul Puri of International School Baja Bain received second and third prizes respectively.
Likewise in the Essay Writing Competition, Arun Dutta of Boys Higher Secondary School and Bandana Sharma of Girls Higher Secondary School shared the first prize whereas Nancy Sharma and Poonam Sharma from Girls Higher Secondary and Boys Higher Secondary jointly garnered second prize. Third prize in Essay writing was bagged by Ankit Sharma, a student of Harsh Niketan Higher Secondary School.
