Saat Din Hamare comes to grandeur close | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 7: Nav Durga Kala Manch’s seven days theatrefest “Saat Din Hamare” today came to a grandeur close with another veteran actor of the state Dhanesh Dogra performing a soliloquy from the play ‘The Glass Menagerie’ at Performing Art Studio. “The Glass Menagerie” from the playwright Tenessee Williams was first staged in the year 1944 by the playwright himself and has a full length version of a man and his family. Today’s act was done by noted theatre actor Dhanesh Dogra under the banner Jammu Kala Mandir. The actor being mature enough to create all the minutest details of the demand of the play presented it in such a way that a whole full length play was connected to be presented in a 25 minutes presentation. Today’s act was just another feather in the cap of the actor as he has proved his several times on stage. Today’s presentation was appreciated by the audience and the effort to take a step in presenting it in English. The play was witnessed by a number of theatre lovers like Deepak Prashar , Hardeep Singh, Manoj Bhatt, Ravinder Sharma, Vijay Goswami, Lucky Gupta, Aman deep Singh, Sunidhi, Satpal among the few. With this the seven days fest came to a close as the audience present on the occasion later held an interactive session and demanded for a united effort to come up with comprehensive theatre policy for the state. All the people present held the organisor Aaditya Bhanu as well as Reetu Manhas, the co organisor in high esteem for conducting the theatre festival in most unique and challenging way. The young theatre worker deserves appreciation for the efforts put in by him. Dilshad shazi compered the entire event. Anil Kotwal on music and lights added charm to the event. Aaditya later also announced another upcoming theatrical bonanza soon and requested all for connecting to make that successful too.
