Army rescues civilian at Dharmari

EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, July 8: Army, rescued a civilian drowning in water at the bridge construction site at Dharmari. A civilian named Mumtaz Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Dadah, working as a labourer with GREF, fell into a pool of water close to the construction site, and was unnoticed by the other workers.
Commander 15 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, who was present at the site, noticed the individual fighting for his life and immediately ordered his troops into action to rescue the individual.
Rifleman Kiran Chhetri, with total disregard to his personal safety jumped into the water and dragged the individual to safety.
The individual was finally rescued out of the water with the help of other Army personnel.
Any delay in the action would have eventually led to the death of individual. The civilians present at the site were grateful for this valiant act and timely action by army personnel, and thanked them.
