| JMC Commissioner inspects rain hit areas | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 8: Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, S C Sawhney alongwith Senior Officers and sub-ordinate staff inspected various places like Dogra Chowk, Asia Chowk, Gandhi Nagar, Gangyal, Krishna Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar etc in Jammu in view of the torrential rains wherein due this the water had logged at many places.
The Commissioner on spot pressed the men and machinery to de-log rainy water which had accumulated on roads especially at Dogra Chowk and causing difficulties for the movement of traffic and pedestrians.
Suction Machines, JCB’s and Labourers were deployed at other places so as to desilt the nallahas in order to enhance their intake capacity and ensure that it may not lead to the damage to the Households in the adjoining areas.
Besides this, under the chairmanship of S C Sawhney Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu, a meeting of Building Operation Controlling Authority was held.
In the meeting the building permission cases were examined and 64 building permission cases were cleared.
The other members of Building Operation Controlling Authority besides Joint Commissioner (Adm) and Senior Town Planner of Jammu Municipal Corporation attended the meeting.
The building permissions cases cleared today shall generate revenue of Rs. 9.00 lacs (nine lacs) for Jammu Municipal Corporation.
All the persons whose building permission cases have been approved are requested to deposit the building fees in the Jammu Municipal Corporation and get the approved building plans. In case of any difficulty they may contact Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation.
