| JKCCTU held state committee meeting | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 8: J&K Co-ordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) held its State Committee meeting at Srinagar which was presided by Mqbool State President.
The meeting was attended by the office bearers and representatives of different associations /unions besides District/Tehsils of the valley.
The meeting expresses its serious concern over the introduction of Notorious pension bill in the parliament which will possibly be passed in the next session and State Government reckless measures to privatize and outsource the Government functions.
The leaders warned the Government to change its anti labour policies or face the wrath of employees and workers.
The meeting unanimously decided to hold a state level convention on the immediate issues of casual, contract, Anganwadi and consolidated workers like regularisation, social security system like pension ,equal wages, implementation of Labour Laws in the last week of July 2011.
The meeting also decided to launch State level agitation against pension bill, releasing of 6th,pay commission arrears, and on temporary workers issues, and the programme of action will be announced after consultation with other employees organisations.
The meeting also expressed its solidarity with struggling employees and workers of Floriculture department and warned its Director to stop vindictive approach and concede the demands of workers especially Tulip Garden workers.
The meeting decided to further strengthen the JKCCTU and a State level conference will be held very soon.
The JKCCTU also urged upon them to take a self-critical view of past smuggle and be ready for serious and effective joint struggle.
