| Randhawa criticizes state govt’s anti-poor policies | | |
JAMMU | NOV 26 “Instead of providing succour and relief to the poor masses, State government has added to their miseries by hiking the prices of all the essential commodities”, said President, BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal, Ch Vikram Randhawa in a protest rally organized by him at Bagh-e-Bahu this morning. The protestors burnt the effigy of the Coalition government and also the raised the slogans against the anti-poor policies of the state govt. Addressing the gathering of party workers, Randhawa criticized the anti-poor policies of the state govt in strong words. Highlighting the woes of Below Poverty Line (BPL) people, Randhawa lashed out at govt for curtailing the existing number of BPL’s without any viable justification. He also took to the task Azad govt by terming its drive against land grabbers as a mere eye wash. He advised to the govt that instead of regularizing land to the land grabbers in lieu of money, land should be distributed among the BPL people. Randhawa vowed his resolve to continue the stir against the wrong and misleading policies of the state govt. Among others present on the occasion were Arun Khosla, Sharda Devi, Anil Gupta, Ashok Dutta, Ramesh Jandial, Hardesh Kumar and many other party workers.
