| MP inaugurates drainage system | | | JAMMU, NOV 26 Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma inaugurated a drain project which was re-constructed at a cost of Rs four lakh in Rehari area today. The funds for the purpose were made available by the MP from his constituency development fund. The residents of the locality thanked the MP for giving a face-lift to the area which was facing unhygienic conditions for the last couple years. They complained that no serious attempt was made by any executing agency and with the result it remained neglected in respect of development. On the occasion, a large number of people especially the youth joined the Congress party and vowed to strengthen the party at the grass-roots level and said that Congress was the only party determined to bring socio-economic transformation and all-round development of all the regions of the state. Vishal Chopra was elected District Youth Congress President on the occasion. Prominent among those who joined the Congress include Mohan Singh, Bhanu, Sourabh, Raman, Ujjval, Charanjit, Tushar, Mahesh, Prasem, Sunny, Abhish and Suni Sharma. Corporators and senior citizens were among present on the occasion.
