| Ashok Khajuria tours rains affected constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 08: BJP national executive member & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria alongwith district president Rajesh Gupta took an extensive tour of the rains affected areas of Kali Janni, Qasim Nagar and Vikram Chowk areas of his constituency to take stock of the situation arising out of the heavy rain fall.
He went around the narrow lanes and interacted with the local residents.
Ashok Khajuria while interacting with the people in these areas, said that this early monsoon has heavy rains as a result of which old houses has been damaged besides flooding the drains in many cases, the rain waters has entered the houses.
There is urgent need of making necessary arrangements for smooth flow of the wastage and the rain waters so that the chances of epidemic being spread are minimized and the population saved from getting harmed.
He said that while the issue has been taken up with the concerned departments but it becomes duty of each one of us to ensure that the area around us is freed of choked drains and piles of dust and garbage.
Khajuria said that being the elected representative of the old city it is his duty to see that the people are not made to suffer and he is committed for the same. My doors are open for any one having any problem and can meet me in case of any problem, he said.
Shiv Kumar Gupta, Vijay Mahajan, Arun Sethi, Inderjit Sharma, Sunil Dogra, Raju Pahalwan, Sub. Gurcharan Singh and other accompanied the MLA during his visit of the said areas.
