Training programme on Women empowerment begins | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 8: MSME Development Institute, Jammu a field office of Ministry of MSME, Government of India today inaugurated a training programme on women empowerment through skill development. During this training the women participants will be provided technical skill on Desktop Publishing, Screen & Offset Printing. The training- was inaugurated by Virinder Sharma, Director, MSME DI, Jammu and during the Inaugural function Joginder Singh, President Printers Association, Jammu and R K Abrol, Vice President Printers Association, Jammu were also present. Other members of Printing Association were also present in the function. The Inaugural function started with the welcome address delivered by Shashi Raj, Programme Co-ordinator. Shashi Raj told the guests and participants about the aim and objective of this Training. He informed the participants that DTP and Printing has a vast scope for employment generation. 23 women participants have been selected for undergoing this training. No fee has been charged from the participants because this training is stipendiary training for women and physically handicapped participants. While delivering the Inaugural address Virinder Sharma, Director, MSME DI, Jammu told the participants that the field of printing has a rich potential in generating employment. While delivering his address Joginder Singh, President Printer Association, Jammu stressed upon the participants to take maximum benefit out of this training. He told the participants that the printing industry is the second largest industry in the world and is facing acute manpower shortage.
