| Mir hails centre’s Rs 1000 cr package for JK youth | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 8: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Party Nationalists (JKDPN) President and Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir has welcomed the central government’s initiative for approving Rs 1000 crore package to reduce unemployment crises in J&K.
While addressing a meeting of JKDPN youth wing at party headquarters here, Mir hails Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s concern towards creating employment opportunities and enhancing employability for youth of J&K.
Appointing of expert group under the chairmanship of C Rangarajan for formulating a job plan for the youth of J&K is a part of that concern. Interacting with newly elected Panchayat members, Mir said that decentralization of powers is imperative to ensure area specific and equitable development of the state.
Mir also urged the politicians to shun the politics of blame and work on developmental issues for the sake of state of J&K.
