| Court directs for medical examination of Nagar Singh | | Amandeep Murder case | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jul 8 (JNF): 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Vinod Chatterji Koul today
directed Superintendent Hiranagar Jail to get Choudhary Nagar Singh, one of the accused allegedly involved in Amandeep Murder case, medically examined.
The order was passed on an application filed by Choudhary Nagar Singh one of the accused allegedly involved in Amandeep Murder case for medical examination by the doctors of GMC Jammu regarding pain in his right shoulder. Special Public Prosecutor Sunil Sethi submitted that the said accused will be taken to GMC Jammu for treatment by or before Monday.
Court directed Superintendent Hiranagar Jail to ensure compliance of this order regarding medical examination of accused. The report regarding examination provided shall be furnished on the next date. Court also had fixed date for recording the statements of the prosecution witnesses but no prosecution witness was present.
Notices were sent to prosecution witnesses but they had not been served. Court took serious note of this and issued fresh notices to said witnesses with a direction for forwarding the same to SSP Jammu who shall ensure service of the witnesses through concerned IO and submit report regarding service on the next date of hearing.
Court further observed that report regarding medical check-up of dental ailment of accused Royal Singh has not been furnished. Special PP stated that accused will be got examined by Jail Dentist and if needed will be taken to Dental College for treatment and report regarding the same shall be furnished on next date. Upon this Court fixed calendar for recording of the statement of prosecution witnesses on 25 and 26 July 2011. JNF
