Talking to ANI, Dr. Mohinder Singh Madan, co-chairman of the International Conference Committee, said: “Today, our community is facing lots of troubles due to identity crises. Even though the cases of hatred and crimes against Sikhs were decreasing, still we have to do a lot of work to aware people about us and our religion".

He called upon the Sikh community to arrange more awareness programs not only in Gurdwaras but also at other public places where people of other community could also participate and get to know about Sikhism and its philosophy.

"Our children are still facing mistaken identity not only in America but in some other countries also,” said Ashwinder Kaur, one of the participants.
