| Mahajan Sabha organizes valedictory function | | |

About 150 persons of Mahajan Community were honored by the Jammu Centre Mahajan Sabha here today.
There persons have been awarded for showing their excellence in various fields a big foundation was against on the occasion with culmination of month long celebration of 140 birth anniversary of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan the founder president of the Sabha.
The function was attended by large number people of the community.
Speaking on the occasion, President Jammu central Mahajan Sabha, Romesh Chander Gupta, highlighted the role, played by Hans Raj Mahajan in elimination the social evils from the society. Romesh stressed upon the gathering to following foot steps of late Lalaji and serve the community with sincerity and dedication. He disclosed that Jammu Sabha has taken a decision to arrange marriage of poor girls of Mahajan families, who have no source of income to meet the marriage expenses. He said a new hall at the cost of Rs. 70 Lakh will he constructed.
Sr. Vice President Bal Krishan Gupta in his address said, the strength of the members of the Sabha will he increased up to 250. He advised that un-necessary expenditure an marriage should be arrived such as ring-ceremony, Alcoholic drink, dances of young girls should be complete by arrived.
MLC, Ved Mahajan stressed for creating unity among the community. He announced that for construction of hall, funds will be provided. T.R. Gupta, Om Prakash, Dr. Sudesh Gupta, Nandlal Amarachand Gupta, Ravi Rometra, Krishan Gupta also address the gathering.
