| Felicitation function to honour meritorious students held | | |

Kathua , July 9: Management of Mehtab College organized a felicitation function to honour the meritorious students who brought laurels to the college.
Deepak Sharma a student of Mehtab College topped the merit list of BCA part-1 in the Kathua district.
For the first time a student from Private College secured highest marks 70.9% in BCA part-1 2010-11 sessions in district.
Scholarship cheques were also distributed. Deepak Sharma received a cheque worth Rs. 5000, Shallu Sharma got the cheque worth Rs. 4000 and Tanni received cheque worth Rs. 3000 from the chief guest.
12 outstanding students were also decorated with medals by the chief guest.
13 students were given appreciation letters and certificates of participation in various intra and inter college activities.
Chief Guest principal Govt Degree College Kathua Ram Krishan Sharma, director Bharat College R.C Bhagat and principal Mehtab College Vivek Abrol appreciated the students and staff of Mehtab College for bringing good results.
They said the staff and students have done very hard work. Classes were regular and training was perfect which yielded good results.
He gave some tips to the students and parents as well about working for good results.
He said that each student should try to reach at the top and Deepak should work hard to maintain his position.
He also spelled out the syllabus of BBA and other activities and encouraged the students to repeat their performance in next examinations and try to reach to the top position.
