| 5 member team to participate in 6th WTF world Taekwondo Poomsae | | |

JAMMU, July 9: 6th WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship is going to be held in Valdivotsok, Russia from July 29 to July 31, 2011.
A five member team has been selected to participate in above championship. The team was selected on the basis of performance in the National Inter Zone Taekwondo Championship was held at Banglore in January.
First Commonwealth Medalist in Taekwondo from J&K Atul Pangotra 4th Dan Black Belt and NIS in Taekwondo ( Working in Department of Youth Services and Sports Department, J&K Government) has been selected for sixth time to participate in World championship.
He could not participate in the first three World championships because of financial problems. He has participated in 4th World championship at Cairo, Egypt and 5th World Championship at Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
He has Won a first Commonwealth medal for J&K and got Bronze medal in commonwealth Taekwondo championship this year in the month of January at Chennai, India.
Atul has been bearing all the expenses to participate in the World Championships.
He successfully attended International Coaches Course at Kyung Hee University, South Korea in the year 2008.
The state Government has not given any financial support to him till date. Taekwondo Federation of India is not getting any grant from the Ministry for World Championships. So it has requested State Government to sponsor him.
J&K Taekwondo Association has been performing consistently in the National level Championships and International Championships and Students of Atul Pangotra also brought laurel for State
