| Semis position cleared in Pawan Memorial Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT AKHNOOR, July 09: Semi-finals line-up has been drawn in the ongoing 3rd Pawan Memorial (Twenty20) Cricket Tournament with the entry of Badrore Cricket Club (BCC) in the last four stages at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here. Now, in the semi-finals, to be played tomorrow, Badrore Club shall take on Royal Bijayanta Cricket Club at 8 am while Krishan Cricket Club shall meet Adarsh Cricket Club at 2 pm. In today’s last quarterfinal game, BCC trounced Lion Cricket Club (LCC) by a big margin of 134 runs. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Badrore Club set a target of 225 runs for the loss of nine wickets, which, in reply, LCC could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 90 runs in 15 overs. Amit Sharma was top scorer with 41-ball 66 runs, followed by Vishu, who contributed 59 runs off mere 24 deliveries. From LCC, Dinesh and Kunal clinched two wickets each while Aman and Tushar shared apiece each. Later, LCC failed in their attempts to make runs and the whole side bowled out without making 100 runs. LCC lost all their wickets for 90 runs in 15 overs with Tushar (29) and Dinesh (13) remained maximum scorers. Vishu was most successful bowler from BCC with three wickets while Gaari took two. Kaka, Amit and Ranji shared apiece each. For his match winning innings of 66 runs and then three wickets haul, Vishu was declared man of the match.
