| Madan Lal reviews Shri Amarnath Yatra arrangements at Bhagwati Nagar | | Announces Rs 20 lakh for additional Yatri shed | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JULY 09- Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma, today visited Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar and reviewed the arrangements put in place for comfortable stay of Shri Amarnath yatries.
Accompanied by senior officers of the provincial and district administration, Mr. Sharma took a round of the whole complex and inspected various facilities being extended to the yatries there. He issued instructions to provide enhanced facilities at all other lodging sites for Shri Amarnath yatries across the city so as to ensure their easy stay in the city of temples.
He also interacted with the yatries and enquired about the facilities being provided to them by the administration. The yatries expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the administration for their stay.
Sharma announced Rs. 20 lakh for construction of an additional yatries shed within the Yatri Niwas Complex. He directed the PDD authorities to immediately install high mast lights within and around Yatri Niwas and the expenditure for the same would be made from MPLAD fund. He instructed the Irrigation engineers to clear the choking in the canal besides PWD authorizes were asked to widen the approach road to Yatri Niwas. He also inspected sanitation works in and around Yatri Niwas and expressed satisfaction over the hygiene conditions and proper functioning of medical aid centre there.
