JAMMU, July 9: A meeting of working body of Food & Allied Worker’s Union and representatives of CA&PD Muffasil food stores of Jammu province was convened under the chairmanship of Bishan Dass President, F&AW’s Union to sort out the burning issues regarding non implementation of Government orders in respect of Muffasil food stores of Jammu province.
In the meeting concern was expressed heavily that Government Order No: l17-CAPD of 2009 Dated: 29-12-2009 granting; Provident Fund; ESI; Gratuity; Cheque System etc and Government Order No: 09-CAPD of20l0 Dated: 29-01-2010 bringing 668 CAPD labourers under the purview of MGW working in Mufassil food stores have not been implemented.
More than one and half years have elapsed in deferring the implementation thereof.
The issue of granting benefits in pursuance of above Government orders, Minster for CA&PD and Director CAPD Jammu very kindly issued directions for implementation of these orders in letter and spirit but the vested interests bent on troubling the labourers, have not paid any heed in this regard till date and to our submissions made from time to time ignoring even the worthy directions of Minister and Director CAPD Jammu.
Now, having no alternative the workers have decided to strike work of their routine operations in all the Muffassil food stores of Jammu Province from Monday the July 11, 2011 which will continue till the time all the benefits covering the above Government orders are not implemented to the CAPD workers working in Muffassil Depots of Jammu Province.
The members present in the meeting were Nazim Din, Babu Singh, Anil Sharma, Dev Raj, Dewan Chand, Delair Khan, Ashok Kumar, Ramesh Chand.
