Month long summer children workshops conlcludes

Jammu, 9 July: J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages(JKAAC) today organized valedictory function of one month long summer children workshops here at Abhinav Theatre Jammu .
On the occasion Rita Jitendra former secretary JKAACL was the chief guest. While congratulating to the Academy she said the children of the today is the future of tomorrow and it is very imperative to sensitize them about themselves and their surroundings through the medium of theatre as it is the one of the most excellent tool for the personality development of the children
Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary , JKAACL said these workshops are the regular activates of the Academy with the mission to hunt and boost the hidden talent of the children and this is the right time to strike when the child is in his growing stage and very keen to grasp everything . Earlier Sudhir Mahajan , drama instructor JKAACL also spoke and in his address he said that the objective of these workshops not to prepare the children as professional in the respective disciplines but our major thrust of the workshops has been to create an atmosphere to encourage children, to raise questions, make decisions and choices with an awareness of themselves within larger society.
A Play namely Sachai ki Jeet which was prepared during the workshop was staged by the participant children which mesmerized the audience . The play was based on the short story of the class text of the school and evolved as play with participant studentsThe play was conceived by Anil Ticko, music by Bhupinder Singh Dholak by Satish Lalotra , Synth by Bunty Kumar Make-Up by Shiv Dev Singh, while it was designed and directed by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan .
Saini, SandeepKour, VishaliSharma, Naveed, NehaPanhotra, Sohi Sharma, Pranav Arora, Mehboob ur Rehman , Aprna Sharma, Harkirat Singh, Manas Deep Singh, Vaishali Sharma, Mehak, Abheet Singh, Maheen Rehman and Rohan Anand . The programme was witnessed by the prominent writers included Harsh Sehbai , Prof Sushil sharma , Khald Hussain besides the artists, theatre activist, parents of the children and member of the civil society.
