Urdu play ‘Intzaar ka Doosra Rukh’ staged by Natrang | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 10: In its regular Sunday Theatre series, Natrang staged Urdu play ‘Intzaar ka Doosra Rukh’ in its studio theatre. The play has been written by Sadat Hassan Manto and was directed by Neeraj Kant. Before the beginning of today’s Sunday show, rich tributes were paid to Natrang actor Hemant Bholla who died last week after a brief illness at a very young age of 25. Natrang director Balwant Thakur, while remembering Hemant Bholla said that he performed in over one hundred shows of Sunday theatre and has been one of the most dynamic actor and wonderful human being, his selfless contribution will always be remembered by Natrang. All present at the show prayed for the peace of the departed soul. Today’s play was the sequel and new dimension of the play ‘Intzaar’ which has already been presented by Natrang. The Shadat Hassan Manto has used the same characters and same situation but from a different perspective which acknowledges that a same story may have different faces from different angles. Though the play was complete and comprehensive in itself yet it has something more to offer to the people who already have seen the previous play. Sajra Qadir as ‘Bilkis’ was praiseworthy. She was equally supported by the balanced acting of Rajni Bhatti as ‘Maa’, Sakshi Prakash as ‘Suraiya’, Vinay Manhas as ‘Salim’, Syed Fardeen as ‘Mantzar’ and Vishal Sharma as ‘Dost’. Lights were operated by Rahul Singh. Mayank Bakshi scored the Music. Mohd. Yaseen coordinated the show. Uplaksh Singh Kotwal did the presentations.
