Corruption and illegal deeds on rise in Jammu : Kapoor | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 10: The J&K Human Rights Watch under the chairmanship of B L Kapoor held a meeting at State Head Quarter, Janipur Jammu for taking stock of irregularities, frauds, smuggling, corruption & militancy in Jammu division resulting a major setback to the normalcy and peace & progress. The meeting resolved that the corrupt and illegal deeds have been on rise now a days in Jammu Division especially in the twin boarder districts of Rajouri and Poonch which needs stern actions & overall control over such deeds. B L Kapoor the State Chairman (JKHRW) however, hailed IGP Jammu, SSP and SHO Rajouri for taking keen interest for apprehending the culprits as they have seized one kg. heroin worth Rs One crore and seized fake currency notes to the tune of thousands of rupees at Poonch. Kapoor further said that the militancy related actions have also been noticed in tehsil Mendhar district Poonch which is a matter of high concern. The state of J&K has already been facing hardships due to continuously proxy war for more than two decades and smuggling, corruption and other illegal practices are to add fuel to the fire and making the common man to suffer. The state of J&K instead of getting relief facing more and more hardships. Kapoor also said that the criminals in Police is worry some. Kapoor appealed the Chief Minister, to take special heed towards these issues so that the process launched by the Governments should not fall-flat on the ground and the million crores of rupees granted for the peace and development should not be wasted.
