| Slathia pays obeisance at Baba Sidh Goria mela | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JULY 10-Minister for industries and commerce Mr. Surjeet Singh Salathia today visited shrine of Baba Sidh Goria at Swankha to pay obeisance on the eve of Baba Sidgoria mela.
The Minister was accompanied Deputy commissioner samba, Sh Mubarak singh , ADC samba, SSP samba, and other Concerned district officer.
During the mela, the Minister met with the Mahant Pir Ratan Nath ji and asked about the arrangements made by the administration to facilitate the devotees. He was apprised by the Mahant about the facilities for devotees during mela.
The Minister appreciated the role of district administration during ongoing three days Baba Sidh Goria mela and said that shrines are a part of our proud heritage and we must strive to preserve our social and cultural ethos.
He said that such type of events give us an opportunity to interact with the masses which helps us in mutual understanding and brotherhood.
Mr Slathia also appreciated the role of the security personal, and municipal corporation for conducting the mela .
