Jammu, July 10: Despite the tall claim of the state government to provide basic infrastructure for development of the whole state, yet they are unable to pay any attention towards the education department.
To mitigate the genuine problems of the teacher community a high level meeting was held at tourist resort Patnitop on May 21, 2011 under the chairmanship of education Minister and was decided that all Headmasters, ZEPOS, Lecturers and Principals with in a month will be regularized, but till date nothing has been done.
A senior lecturer of the district Kishtwar on the condition of Ammonite said a similar type of meeting was held at Kishtwar and Doda in the month of June on the same issue, but nothing has happened till date. He said no regularization has taken place since 1997 even good numbers of teachers have expired waiting for regularization. When contacted to few others they said, with in couple of months we are getting retired but are waiting for regularization.
The Government is not paying any attention toward the most sincere community of the state. They are suffering due to lack of approach by the government towards them. All were in hope that government will look after their genuine demands which are pending since 1997 but all is looking in vain as nothing has been done till date.
