JWAM seek CM’s attention for redressal of the problems | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 10: Massive protest demonstration, rally was held today to attract the attention of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, chairman DDB and the members of the District Development Board Jammu towards the long pending demands to be discussed in the DDB meeting being held on 12 July. The strong protest rally was started from Amphalla-Newplot Janipur road, Sarwal Mandir morh and culminated at "Sarwal Chowk" where hundreds of shopkeepers, traders, residents gave warm welcome to the rally and joined the rally in large number taken out by the prominent citizens, heads of various trade unions, mohalla committees, traders of the Jammu west constituency under the banner of the Jammu west assembly movement. The protestors held road blockage, demonstrations at various chowks and broke the pitchers, shouted slogans against the PDD , PHE in support of their demands. Addressing the protestors at Sarwal Chowk Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that no development is taking place in the Jammu city and particularly in the west constituency. He said people of the Jammu city are being deprived of the basic amenities. Sunil Dimple demanded Omar Abdullah to include and thoroughly discuss their long pending demands in the DDB meeting to be held on 12 July. He alleged in his 30 months old coalition Govt. not even a single Commitment, announcement and assurance given by his Govt. has yielded any result on the ground on any of the following demands raised from time to time at the highest form. He warned if their demands would not be discussed in the DDB meeting JWAM will start the Jan andolan and indefinite agitation from 17 July in which thousands of residents of West constituency will start the agitation and padyatra from the Sarwal Chowk Jammu.
