Govt committed to provide better job opportunity under self employment scheme: Sham | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JULY 10-Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr Sham Lal Sharma today inaugurated a Hi-Tech Cyber Café at Akhnoor. The Minister said that faster development of Akhnoor town was receiving focused attention in the policy planning and various schemes in the sector of R&B, PHE, PWD, Health, Tourism, Education and communication have been initiated to achieve balanced development of the town. He said that under various central and state sponsored schemes government has introduced numerous development schemes in Akhnoor town in each and every ward. Mr Sham said that the government is seriously contemplating to provide job opportunities under the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Scheme for Welfare of Youth (SKEWY) and more self employment schemes are in progress for betterment of local youth. The Minister said that an employment package announced by the centre for Jammu and Kashmir which is expected to create more jobs in government and private sector has been generally welcomed by the people of the state. The package is for imparting training of the unemployed of youth, he added. He said the problem of unemployment could be better addressed, when centre had provided impetus to the industrial sector in the state which would automatically generate employment opportunities for the local youth. On opening grand Hi-Tech Cyber Café connecting world at Akhnoor the modern facilities will be available including surfing, photo state, STD/PCO, Fax, colour printing, DTH, mobile recharge etc, the minister hoped. Mr Sham appreciated the job done by the local youth Mr Rakesh Kumar Sharm. He said the Hi-Tech Cyber Café will provide better modern facilities to the local. Later, Mr Sham also attended a Rotary Club Junction at Akhnoor where he was the chief guest on the occasion.
