Attempt to get away with flour mill's wheat foiled, 2 held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 10: An alleged attempt by a truck driver and its owner to get away with 290 wheat bags of a Bari Brahmana-based flour mill was today foiled by police with the arrest of its driver and owner. Sanjeev Mehta, owner of Jai Jawala Traders, Bari Brahmana, lodged a complaint with Bari Brahmana police station that the truck (JK02AD/8989), loaded from his mill with 290 wheat bags few days bag, had not reached its destination. He said the truck had gone missing along with the wheat bags Police acted on the complaint and during the course of investigation found the truck parked at Khanachak in Kathua. Its number plate had been changed to mislead police and it bore fake registration No JK02AC/6779, police sources said. Police seized the truck and also recovered the 290 wheat bags, the sources added. Truck driver Tarseem Kumar of Panj Gran, Arnia, and owner Surjeet Kumar of Slair were arrested by police and booked under law. |
