| Govt. committed to fulfill aspirations of people: Qazi | | | Jammu, Nov 26 Minister for Forests, Environment, Housing and Urban Development Qazi Mohammad Afzal has said that the Government is committed to fulfill promises made in Common Minimum Programme (CMP) formmated by the coalition partners in 2002. The Minister was addressing a function organized by Vitasta Health Care Center, a Medical Mission Charitable Trust, at Muthi in Jammu. Mr. Qazi stressed the need for establishing more such providing philanthropic service centers provide medicare to people particularly those living below poverty line. Qazi Afzal appreciated the objectives and activities of VHCC. The Minister said that in the present socio-political and economical senorio have altogether added responsibility to serve the people. He said that government has been promoting such institutes by providing financial and other aids whenever it has been approached and assured that it would continue doing so. Later, Minister inspected health center and took stock of facilities available in the center. Minister was informed that more than 35000 persons have received medical treatment from the centre so far. The Management of the health center put forth some demands including allotment of 3.5 kanal of land for construction of 100 bed hospital and providing of Ambulance. He heard them patiently and assured that their genuine demands would be considered. |
