3 killed, 20 hurt in road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, July 11 (KNS): At least three persons were killed and 20 others injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir Valley on Monday. A tractor driver was killed in Handwara in Kupwara district, after his vehicle overturned, a police spokesperson said. In another accident a motorcyclist was killed when he was hit by a cab at Thajiwara near Achabal in Anantnag district, he added. In a separate incident in Handwara area of Kupwara district, three motorcyclists were injured and a pillion rider killed when the two-wheelers collided. Fourteen people, including five Amarnath pilgrims, were injured when a bus in which they were traveling overturned at Rinzipal near Pahalgam in Anantnag district, police said. Two men in a motorcycle were injured when a load carrier collided with a truck at Keegam crossing near Awantipora on Srinagar-Jammu national highway. A nine-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Vessu-Qazigund on the highway, police said. A Tavera vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian at on National Highway near Sopore in Baramulla district.
