7/12/2011 12:08:26 AM

EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, July 11: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allotted 32 matches to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) to host in the forthcoming cricket season.
A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the North Zone Fixture Committee of the BCCI here yesterday. The meeting was convened by secretary, Delhi District Cricket Association, Sunil Dev and attended by general secretary, Haryana Cricket Association, Aman Kumar, joint secretary, Punjab Cricket Association, G S Walia, general secretary, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, Vishal Marwah and general secretary, JKCA, Ashan Mirza.
Considering last year’s failure of the JKCA to host any of the given matches in Kashmir due to the unrest in Valley, the Fixture Committee allotted maximum possible games to the state.
Meanwhile, as per the handout issued by the JKCA, it was also resolved in the meeting that the state association shall chalk out a programme for exchange of teams of various age groups to play in matches other then BCCI fixtures.
